Data Export and Deletion
This page describes how data retention, deletion, and export work today. For the authoritative statement, see the Privacy Policy.
Retention
- Account and service data is retained for as long as the account is active and as needed to run the service.
- Platform audit logs are pruned automatically on a scheduled retention job after a configured period.
- Conversations close automatically after a period of visitor inactivity (around 30 minutes). Closing changes the conversation’s status only; it does not delete the conversation.
Deleting Data in the App
You can remove conversation data yourself:
- Delete or archive an individual conversation from the
Conversationsinbox. Archiving is the non-destructive alternative to deletion. - Delete conversations in bulk from the
Conversationsinbox. - Delete every conversation for an agent from
Settings -> General. - Delete an agent from
Settings -> General. Deleting an agent cascades to remove the data associated with it.
Deleting an organisation also cascades to delete the data associated with it. Organisation deletion is handled by our team; contact support to request it.
Export and Deletion Requests
There is no self-serve export tool at this stage. To request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, contact support@engine64.au and our team will handle the request.
Where Engine 64 processes end-user data on a customer’s behalf, requests from that end user are referred or forwarded to the customer, who is the controller of that data.
